Mercer Islanders win championship in Bay Area lacrosse tournament | Sports brief

The Seattle Starz 7/8 girls lacrosse team won the Bay Area Bonanza in San Jose, Calif. in early November.
The Starz is an elite lacrosse team that draws players from the Puget Sound area and plays in various tournaments along the West coast and Puget sound area.
The team won six straight games, before winning the championship on Sunday afternoon.
Mercer Island players who participated in this tournament include: Tessa Guerra, Maile Mull, Leah Paborsky, Leah Drucker, Elise Marks, Ruby Fulmore and Allison Myers.
