Once again this year, yogis on Mercer Island can break a sweat for a good cause on Thanksgiving at Yoga Bliss.
The studio is again offering its “Practice of Gratitude” with two classes, each donating the proceeds to Mercer Island Youth and Family Services.
The 8 a.m. class, taught by Liz Doyle, will be a power vinyasa class, and the 10 a.m. class with Rachel Lowe is a vinyasa class.
The minimum tuition for the class is $20, which will be donated to MIYFS. Students are asked to bring cash or a check made out to MIYFS. For those who can’t make a class but would like to donate, a donation box will be at the studio all week.
The following weekend, the studio will celebrate a year in its new home in the Island Square building on S.E. 27th Street. In honor of the anniversary, the studio will be holding a free class with Maria Bliss on Friday, Nov. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The anniversary celebration will last all day with food and prizes. Preregistration for the class is required.
To learn about either event or to register, visit the studio’s website at www.yogabliss.org.
