Mercer Island athletes sign early letters of intent | Sports brief

Fourteen students at Mercer Island High School signed early letters of intent to play collegiate sports in mid-November.
The students will be playing a variety of sports, ranging from soccer to swimming and football.
Jordan Morris will join the Stanford men's soccer team, while Alex Emanuel will play football for Cornell.
In lacrosse, Hayden Reisman will play for St. John's University in New York, Grant Preisler will play for Marquette, Lorenzo Powell will play for Centre College and Justin Rorem will play for Kenyon. In women's lacrosse, Tyler Sherper will play for Colgate and Saffron Snethen will join the team at Mount Olive.
In basketball, Joe Rasmussen will join the men's team at Seattle Pacific University, while Kris Brackmann will play for the women's team at Claremont McKenna.
Lottie MaAulay will play volleyball for Dartmouth and Abby Elggren will join the women's rowing team at Tulsa. Grace Wold is set to join the Wisconsin swim team, while diver Meg Lindsay will join the Southern Methodist University team.
