Mercer Island beats Liberty | Boys prep basketball

The Mercer Island boys basketball team extended their KingCo record to 4-0 on Tuesday, Dec. 18 with a win over Liberty.

The Islanders won with a final score of 75-59.

The team was up 14-9 at the end of the first quarter, and added 19 points in the second before a big third quarter of 25 points. Liberty hit 24 in the fourth quarter of the game, but couldn’t overtake the already leading Islanders.

Nick Nordale posted 24 points in the win, while Joe Rasmussen had 21 points and Kaleb Warner had 15. Will Taylor added six to the scoreboard, while Espen Platou and Max Tilden each had four points. Daniel Sims had three points and Jake Shaddle had two points overall.
