Mercer Island beats Interlake | Girls prep basketball

The Mercer Island girls basketball team beat Interlake in a KingCo match on Friday, Dec. 21. The final score was 55-22.

Mercer Island was up 20-7 at halftime, adding 17 and 18 points in the final two quarter of the game, while holding Interlake to 15 points in teh second half.

Individually, Kris Brackmann had 12 points during the win, while both Arianna Moscatel and Christina Williamson added 10 points. Rachael Tessem had six points during the game, and Jessica Blakeslee, Marlo Cafarelli and Jamie Mounger each added four to the scoreboard. Suri Johnson and Renae Tessem had two points and Yasmeen El-Rafey had one point.

The team traveled to San Diego, Calif. to play in the San Diego Tournament this week, with games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
