Mercer Island defeats Sammamish | Girls prep basketball

The Mercer Island girls basketball team defeated Sammamish on Wednesday, Jan. 16. The final score was 52-21.
Mercer Island led the game 36-11 at halftime, and added 16 points to the Totems 10 in the second half.
Kris Brackmann scored 14 points during the game, while Suri Johnson added nine for the Islanders. Christina Williamson posted eight points in the game, Rachael Tessem added six and both Jamie Mounger and Renae Tessem posted five points. Jessica Blakeslee had three points and Arianna Moscatel had two points.
Mercer Island will host Interlake on Friday, Jan. 18 in a 6:30 p.m. game.
