Mercer Island ninth as a team at Jaguar Invitational | Prep wrestling

Competing in the Jaguar Invitational at Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup on Saturday, Jan. 19, the Mercer Island wrestling team finished ninth overall with 64.5 points. Decatur won the team competition, scoring 230.5 points.
Individually, Luke Wilson finished in second place in the 120 weight bracket. Wrestling against Noah Cuzzetto of Edmonds-Woodway, Wilson took second after an injury default forced him out of the meet.
Jake Pruchno finished in fifth place in the 126 weight class, while Connor Gullstad took fifth overall wrestling in the 152 division. Evan Condon was fifth in the 182 weight class.
The wrestling team will travel to Interlake on Tuesday, Jan. 22 for a KingCo match. Mercer Island will return home for its final match of the regular season on Thursday, Jan. 24 against Bellevue. Both meets are set to
