Last season: The Islanders finished third as a team at the 3A state tournament, winning both the KingCo and SeaKing district tournaments.

Strengths: “[A] tradition of winning,” said Papasedero. “[We have a] 53 dual match winning streak, five KingCo titles in a row, three district titles in a row and eight top 10 [finishes] in state in a row.”

The team is also one of the largest girls golf teams in the state.

Focus: “We are focusing on ourselves way more than any opponent,” said the coach of the team’s work in the season.

Game to watch: Mount Si at Jefferson Park on April 25.
