Mercer Island beats Ballard in first match of the season | Prep boys soccer

The Mercer Island boys soccer team earned it's first win of the season on Tuesday, March 12, beating non-league opponent Ballard 2-0 at home.

Ryan Hill scored both goals for the Islanders, the first game off an assist from Sean Bender in the 20th minute of the match, while the second was a goal in the 56th minute off an assist from Jamie Lungmus.

Mercer Island will play Roosevelt in another non-conference match on Thursday, March 14 at the Northwest Athletic Complex at Ingraham High School in Seattle. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
