Mercer Island downs Auburn Riverside | Boys prep lacrosse

The Mercer Island boys lacrosse team earned a second win of the season, beating Auburn Riverside 17-12 on Friday night.

Mercer Island was up 10-3 at the end of the first half, and scored another seven in the second half, while holding Auburn Riverside to nine points in the second half.

Grant Preisler had four goals and two assists in the match, while Peter Mahony also scored four goals with one assist. Steen Swedstedt had three goals, an assist and three ground balls. Cooper Johnson added three goals to the total, while Evan Condon had one goal and five groudn balls. Justin Rorem scored one, with two ground balls, while Brett Bottomley added a goal and three ground balls. Edan Stern had an assist and one ground ball during the win. Goalie Ben Rothenberg made 11 saves overall.
