Matt Boyd earns second Pac-12 Player of the Week honor | Sports brief

Mercer Island native Matt Boyd earned his second Pac-12 Player of the Week honor for the season last week.

Boyd pitched the Oregon State University baseball team to a 6-2 win over Arizona Friday, March 15.

He walked one batter and struck out six in the game, improving his record to 4-0 this season and is now 15-1 overall at OSU, with a .938 winning percentage, the best in program history for players with more than 10 victories.
