Mercer Island dominates Woodinville | Prep boys lacrosse

The Mercer Island boys lacrosse team traveled to Woodinville, where the Islanders dominated in a 19-3 win.

Justin Rorem scored four goals for Mercer Island with two assists and one ground ball, while Steen Swedstedt had three goals and two ground balls. KC Carroll posted three goals for the Islanders with an assist, Grant Preisler scored three goals, had three assists and three ground balls. Goalie Benji Rothenberg made seven saves, and Scotty Lee posted three saves.

Mercer Island will host the Boys Lacrosse Northwest Invitational this weekend at MIHS. The team will play Oregon’s Lake Oswego at 8 p.m. on Friday night, and will take on Lakeridge on Saturday at 8 p.m.
