The Mercer Island girls lacrosse team lost to Lakeside on Wednesday, March 27. The final score was 12-8 for the Lions.

The game was close at halftime, with Lakeside leading 8-7 over Mercer Island, and though the Islanders only gave up four goals in the second half, the team only scored one, which allowed Lakeside the win.

Mercer Island's Dulce Moll had three goals in the game with one assist, while Saffron Snethen posted three goals. Tyler Sherper added two goals and an assist while goalie Andrea Hatsukami made seven saves for the team.

Mercer Island, now 2-2-0, will play Kennedy in a 4 p.m. game on Tuesday, April 9 at Sunset Park.
