Mercer Island falls to Mount Si | Prep fastpitch

The Mercer Island fastpitch team hosted Mount Si on Tuesday, April 2, losing 5-4.

Mercer Island held the lead early in the game after scoring two runs in the bottom of the first. Mount Si took over the lead after scoring one run in the second and two in the third to make it a 3-2 game.

Both teams scored two runs in the fifth inning, but Mount Si was able to hold on to the lead and the league victory.

Mercer Island’s Lilly Blakey was 2-3 at the plate with three RBI, while Islander pitcher Morgan Peyou pitched for seven innings, allowed seven hits and five runs. She had two errors and two strikes.

The Islanders will host Bellevue on Monday, April 8 in a 4:30 p.m. game.
