Mercer Island falls to Lake Washington | Prep fastpitch

The Mercer Island fastpitch team lost to Lake Washington on Tuesday, April 9. The final score was 6-2.

The Kangs scored first, earning a 3-0 lead at the end of the first inning, followed by two more runs in the second and a fifth in the top of the third. Lake Washington led 6-0 going in the final inning when the Islanders scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Morgan Peyou pitched all seven innings for the Islanders, giving up 10 hits, with six errors.

The faspitch team will host West Seattle on Thursday, April 11 in a 4:30 p.m. game at the South Mercer Playfields.
