Mercer Island shuts out Liberty | Girls prep tennis

The Mercer Island girls tennis team traveled to take on Liberty on Tuesday, April 16. The Islanders dominated the matches, winning 7-0.

In the singles competition, Nora Tan beat Saide Demme 6-0, 6-0, while Caroline Dillon beat Noelle Rauschendorfer 6-1, 6-1. Sarah Sweet beat Alia Jaegar 6-0, 6-1 and Mindy Weinberg beat Ana Guzman 6-3, 8-6.

The doubles pair of Lydia and Gabby Venditti beat Jenny Adams and Kristy Braunston 6-1, 6-3. Ashley Larson and Erin Crandall beat Hannah Ho and Yen Lee 6-1, 6-0 and Lane Kucash and Sarah Kahan beat Isabelle Ashraf and Felicia Chiang 6-1, 6-1.

The team will take on Interlake at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 at MIHS.
