Mercer Island blanks Juanita | Girls prep tennis

The Mercer Island girls tennis team earned a KingCo win on Monday afternoon, shutting out Juanita 7-0.

In the singles competition, Melanie Lee beat Emma Lewy-Morgan 6-1, 6-2, Caroline Hamilton beat Rachel Russel 6-0, 6-0 and Miji Suh beat Tess Pate 6-1, 6-1. Caroline Dillon beat Alizeh Karmali 6-3, 6-1.

The doubles team of Ashley Larson and Jamie Mounger defeated Brittney Hard and Sunny Huh 6-3, 6-0, while Erin Crandall and Sarah Kahan beat Ty Baird and Sarah Hartman 6-0, 6-1. Lark Ruesch and Julia Glick beat Tatum Ludlum and Julie Stevens 6-1, 6-1.

The Islanders host Mount Si on Tuesday, April 23 in a 3:45 p.m. meet at Mercer Island High School.
