Mercer Island beats Mount Si, remains undefeated | Girls prep golf

The Mercer Island girls golf team beat Mount Si on Thursday afternoon at Jefferson Park Golf Course. The Islanders finished with 230 strokes, while Mount Si had 238.

Mercer Island is now 6-0 in league this season and secured the KingCo championship with the win over the Wildcats on Thursday.

Against the Wildcats, Molly White and Giovanna Orecchio both finished with a 44, while Jane Peterson shot 46, Emma Young and Carsen Harkins hit 48. Kate Peterson shot 49, Madison Pearson finished the match at 51, Katie Rorem at 53, Hannah Lee finished with a 55 and Whitley Pearson shot 56.

The team will wrap up the regular season on Monday, April 29 against Bellevue at 4 p.m. at Jefferson Park.
