Mercer Island falls to Liberty | Prep fastpitch

The Mercer Island fastpitch team lost to Liberty on Thursday, April 25. The final score was 7-4.

The Patriots were up 2-0 at the end of the first inning, and made it a 3-0 game in the top of the third. The team scored four more runs in the fourth, but Mercer Island scored it's first points with two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth.

Makenna Pellerin was 2-4 at the plate during the game with a double, while teammate Blake Snelling was 2-3 with two RBI during the game.

Pitcher Morgan Peyou threw for seven innings, allowing 13 hits, seven runs and striking out one.

The Islanders will take on Hazen in Renton on Monday, April 29 in a 4:30 p.m. game.
