Mercer Island shutout by Bellevue | Boys prep soccer

The Mercer Island boys soccer team closed out the regular season on Thursday night with a shutout loss to Bellevue. The final score was 1-0.

The teams battled with a 0-0 score for most of the match, but in the 72nd minute Bellevue’s Cody Gibson, assisted by Cole Mora scored the only goal of the game. Bellevue goalie Jack Lyon was credited with the shutout.

The Islanders will begin the KingCo tournament next Tuesday, May 7 as the No. 4 team. Information will be updated once brackets are finalized.
