Mercer Island begins state tournament Wednesday | Girls prep water polo

The Mercer Island girls water polo team will begin the state tournament on Wednesday afternoon.

The team will play in the first round of games at Lake High School, beginning with a match at 4:10 p.m. and a second game at 8:50 p.m. on May 15.

If the Islanders win on Wednesday, the team will play on Friday at the Curtis High School Pool, in another 4:10 p.m. match.

The state finals will take place on Saturday, May 18 at Curtis High School. The state championship game will be played at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
