Mercer Island golfer completes first round at state tournament | Girls prep golf

The Mercer Island girls golf team sent one golfer to the 3A state tournament in Woodland, Wash.

Madison Pearson finished the first day with a score of 99, just missing the 95-stroke cut to compete on the second day of the competition.

The tournament was led by Columbia River's Chole Bartek, who shot a 70 on Day 1.
