Mercer Island student Jessica Ramseyer is a member of the Bellevue Blast Black 2000 softball team which recently won a tournament in Tacoma.

The team won the gold bracket in the 12U division of the Sprinkler tournament in Tacoma in June. The team is made up of students from Bellevue, with Ramseyer the only Islander. The team is coached by Rick Jackling.
