Island runners compete at cross-country state meet | Prep cross country

Despite not having any teams competing, Mercer Island was represented by a few individual runners in the 3A WIAA state championships Saturday, Nov. 9 in Pasco, Wash.

Junior Dylan Lesko placed 82nd in the men’s 5,000 meter race with a time of 17:02.49. In the women’s race, Cecelia Rosenman placed 38th with a time of 19:45.73.

Alexa Bauman placed 62nd with a time of 20:11.51. Spokane’s North Central High School won the men’s race with a team score of 41, while Glacier Peak of Snohomish won the women’s race with a score of 102.
