Islanders celebrate the grand re-opening of True Value Hardware

True Value Hardware owner De Calvert introduces the new store mascot, Pepper, an Australian Shepherd puppy, to customers on a sunny Saturday, Nov. 23. Pepper takes over for Willow, another Aussie who died of old age earlier this year.


Ciscoe Morris, in front, had to continue his talk on gardening after the fire alarm accidentally went off inside the store. He did so with aplomb.
