Islanders' Lindquist named volleyball All American

PrepVolleyball.com recognized Mercer Island senior Sara Lindquist as a High School All American. Lindquist was one of two volleyball athletes recognized by the website, which honored 150 athletes throughout the United States. Courtney Schwan of Bellarmine Prep was the other Washington player honored.

A three-time All-KingCo choice, Lindquist led the Islanders to their first 3A state title in Mercer Island High School history last season with 14-0 record. Lindquist has 460 career kills, 35 of which occurred in the championship match, earning her tournament MVP.

Lindquist will be attending Dartmouth College this fall.
