Mercer Island Force tops at Snohomish Invite

GU16 youth soccer team Mercer Island Force took home the U16 Silver title at the Snohomish United Invitational June 21-22.

Girls U16 youth soccer team Mercer Island Force won its silver division of the Snohomish United Invitational June 21-22, finishing the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record.

After dispatching South Kitsap United 4-2 in its opening game, the Force beat Seattle United 3-1 and Emerald City 4-1 to set up a rematch with South Kitsap in the final round. MIFC topped South Kitsap once again, this time 1-0 to take the title.

MIFC team members include Anna Gallagher, Gabby Kasman, Kate Daugherty, Jensen Antilla, Julia Panelli, Hanna Noren, Sidney Montague, Sam Mills, Hanna Puetz, Camryn Steiner, Kayla Tsang, Mira Dorney, Lily Martel, Josie Blakeslee, Brooke Fitzwilson and Mallica Cary. The Force is coached by Per Noren, Tom Montague and Eric Mills.
