The Mercer Island girls golf team struggled at the district meet on May 12 at Riverbend golf course in Kent to finish out of the top 10.

Lindsay Chinn was the only player from Mercer Island to qualify for the state meet by shooting an 83 on the par 72 course, tieing her for ninth place with three other players.

Four golfers competed for Mercer Island during the tournament.

Both Chinn and players from the boys golf team competed at state in Bellingham on Tuesday (after Reporter deadline) and today.
