Mercer Island High School senior Greg Mahony was selected to tryout for the U.S. Lacrosse national team. The team will compete in the International Lacrosse Federation Under-19 World Championships to be held next year.

Mahony was among 120 players from around the United States to be selected, but just one of three from the West Coast.

Mahony led the Mercer Island High School varsity lacrosse team to the state title game this spring and helped win three state titles during his time on the Islander team.

Mahony was also selected as an All-American in high school lacrosse.
