Mercer Island's seventh- and eighth-grade lacrosse teams tied each other 4-4 during their annual game Saturday.
Of Mercer Island White's four goals, three were scored by Freddie Crothamel and one by Peter Ramsden. Goalie Hap Giraud had 15 saves.
Mercer Island Red's goals were scored by Leo Phillips (2), Nick Hancock and Johnathan Wettack. Goalie Tyler Reynmore had eight saves.
Both teams will advance to the playoffs, which concludes May 28 at Qwest Field.
St. Monica School goes undefeated in volleyball
The St. Monica School seventh-grade girls' volleyball team went undefeated this season with an 11-0 record. The record includes a 7-0 mark in regular season and 4-0 in post season playoffs. The team also won the Catholic Youth Organization AA Division Championship the weekend of May 1.
