The Mercer Island girls basketball team will host Bellevue tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The Islanders lost their only in-league game to Bellevue earlier this season on the Wolverines’ home court.

Mercer Island is currently in first place in KingCo with a 6-1 record.

The Islanders record and seat atop KingCo is a first in at least a decade for this late in the season. With a win, Mercer Island can extend its lead to two games over the perennial league champs.
