Islander girls basketball loses to Holy Names

The Mercer Island girls basketball team lost to Holy Names Tuesday night 64-59 at Bellevue Community College. The Islanders led 24-19 at half time but 23 fourth-quarter points for Names gave the private school the victory.

Hailey Gullstad led the Islanders with 18 points, while senior Janelle Chow added 14 points.

The loss puts Mercer Island into a loser-out game at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bellevue Community College against Seattle Prep.
