The Mercer Island girls golf team set a KingCo record this past weekend. The team, which took home first place, won with a team score of 413.

Chelsee Saelee earned first place individually with a 69, another KingCo record.

Up next for the team is the district tournament where the top six Islander golfers will begin their state tournament run. Saelee, Lindsay Chinn, Haley Chinn, Sarah Peterson, Alana Brooks and Jackie Pearson will represent MIHS in the tournament, which begins next Monday at Riverbend Golf Course in Kent.
