It seems like it is still ages away, but in fact the fervor leading up to the Whistler Olympics early next year is already starting to amp up.

People already have tickets; hotels, resorts and condos are long gone, and the border lines are only going to get longer.

Prior to the Winter Games, the Mercer Island Reporter wants to hear from you.

Do you have tickets? For which events? What is your game plan for heading across the border in February? Have you begun to tackle the passport issue yet? What are you looking forward to the most — getting to see world-class athletes push themselves to the limit?

Even if you aren’t planning to attend any of the events, do you think Seattle and the rest of Western Washington is going to see an impact as the international spotlight brightens our corner of the world?

To share your story or thoughts, e-mail sports reporter Megan Managan at mmanagan@mi-reporter.com, as she will be working on a few stories leading up to the festivities based on Island residents’ experiences.
