Islander Hugh Miller finished second in the Professional Bowlers Association Senior Tour, which ended in Michigan early in September.

The seven-time PBA tour champion and one-time PBA senior title holder is in his third year on the senior tour. In the championship game, Miller bowled against Harry Sullins, a longtime PBA tour veteran from Michigan.

Miller lost the championship 222-192, after beating players from Ohio and North Carolina to earn a spot in the final game. Miller last won a PBA Senior Tour title in 2008 during an event in Klamath Falls, Ore. He won his first PBA Tour title in 1980 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

For winning the event, Sullins earned $15,000, and Miller won $7,500 for his finish. Miller’s total PBA career earnings are $948,742.

The PBA Senior World Championship will air on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. Pacific time on ESPN.
