The Islanders boys water polo team may be young this season, but that hasn’t stopped it from wracking up the wins this fall. In the water at the Edgebrook Club in Factoria, the Islanders gained another win this season, following last week’s victory at the Fall Invitational.
The boys in maroon posted a convincing win over the Castaway Polo Athletic (CPA) team with a 15-3 final score. By halftime, the Islanders were ahead 9-1, with the points spread across the board amongst the Mercer Island team.
The scoring continued through the third quarter as the team added another two points to the scoreboard while only allowing one CPA goal during the same time period. At the beginning of the final quarter, CPA found a hole in the goal, scoring their last point of the game, before Mercer Island rounded things off with another three goals.
