MI boys golf wins medalist tournament

The Mercer Island boys golf team won the KingCo Medalist tournament Monday afternoon, qualifying six of the varsity players for the District tournament next Monday.

Head coach Tyson Peters said last week the team hoped the qualify at least five boys to play at districts, which will be at the Harbour Pointe Golf Course on Monday, Oct. 19. Players who qualified include: Kirby Ingram, Grant Otter, Juniors Charlie Kern, Kyle Code, Crawford Leeds and George Jiranek.
