With just a few regular season meets left to go this season, the Mercer Island boys team is diving forward after beating Bellevue, 129.5 to 53.5, last Tuesday.

The Islanders, who remain undefeated this season, snatched the rivalry win away from the Wolverines in impressive fashion, posting several state qualifying times. In the 50 freestyle event, the top three finishers, all from Mercer Island, posted state qualifying times: Ian Fisk at 21.59, Robbie Homchick at 22.81 and Duncan Howard at 22.83. Howard qualified again in the 100 freestyle as he and Quinn Markwith went one-two in the race.

The team traveled to Bainbridge on Thursday for the last away meet of the regular season, where the Island found a close 90-86 victory. On Tuesday the team hosted Inglemoor in the last regular season meet of the year, before the KingCo league meet next week.
