This Saturday marks the traditional Opening Day celebration at the University of Washington, as the Huskies host the Oxford and Syracuse men’s and women’s rowing teams.

Events will be held throughout the day with local crew clubs competing in the 2010 Windermere Cup Rowing Regatta, which starts at 10:20 a.m.

Earlier, at 10:05 a.m., the waters of Lake Washington will play host to dragon boats in a demonstration race.

The Opening Day boat parade will begin at noon with the theme of “Out of This World.”
