The WSU Varsity 8’s team finished third at the American Collegiate Rowing Association’s (ACRA) regatta in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Islander Paul Ehlers is a member of the team.

It is the first time in the history of the club that the rowers have placed in the national event. The team is currently ranked third in the nation, behind the University of Michigan and Bucknell.

In the final race of the regatta, the Cougars rowed against the University of Virginia, Grand Valley, Michigan State and Bucknell.
