Mercerwood Shore Club wins Midlakes title

The Mercerwood Shore Club summer swim team won the Midlakes A Team title on July 24, making it the club’s sixth title in seven years.

The finals, held at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, had 26 teams competing. MSC won with 1,736 points, while the Mercer Island Beach Club was third with 1,572 points. The Mercer Island Country Club’s team finished in seventh place overall with 800 points.

MSC also won the Division I dual meet title for the seventh year in a row, staying undefeated in all dual meets. Head coach Alice Godfred was nominated as the Division I coach of the year, and Mary Orlosky, a coach at MICC, was nominated in the Division II category.
