Two Mercer Island girls Cross Country runners will make the trek to Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco for the Class 3A state Cross Country meet on Nov 4.

Mercer Island junior Maggie Baker captured eighth place with a time of 19:00.40 and senior Chloe Michaels finished in 25th place with a time of 19:52.62 at the Class 3A Sea-King District Cross Country meet on Oct. 28 at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah.
