Alumni lacrosse game is on the horizon

The annual Mercer Island alumni lacrosse game will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Dec. 23 at the Mercer Island High School stadium. The Mercer Island Lacrosse Club has invited alumni and their parents to join them for a postgame reception at the Mercer Island VFW immediately following the game. For those interested in attending, contact Marcy Berejka at berejkam@msn.com.

Mercer Island Lacrosse Club is hosting a Christmas Tree pick up

Mercer Island boys lacrosse will conduct their annual Christmas tree pick up on Dec. 30-31 and Jan. 6-7 on Mercer Island. Island residents who register for the service are requested to place their Christmas tree on the curb by 9 a.m. of the day they signed up for. All proceeds from the pickups will benefit the Mercer Island Lacrosse Club.

                                Mercer Island boys soccer players Reis Kissel and Hunter Bauman were named to the Washington High School first-team all-state boys soccer this past May.
                                It was the third consecutive season Kissel and Bauman received first-team, all-state honors. Reis, who played defender for the Islanders, will be attending Vassar College this fall. Bauman, who played midfielder for the Islanders, will be attending the University of Washington.
