Mercer Island girls golf team captures third place at 3A state tourney

Islanders’ girls golf squad rises to the occasion in final tournament of 2019.

The Mercer Island girls golf team earned third place at the 3A state tournament on May 22 in Lacey.

The Islanders finished with a total of 677 team points. Mercer Island golfer Gihoe Seo finished tied for third place individually, totaling 145 strokes during the two-day tournament.
