Mercer Island Girls Select Basketball team holding tryouts

Mercer Island Girls Select Basketball are holding tryouts for the girls select basketball team on Sept. 21-22 in the Mercer Island High School gym. Tryouts for girls in grades 5-7 will be from 2:30-4 p.m. on Sept. 21, and from 9:30-11 a.m. on Sept. 22. Girls in grades 6-8 have tryouts from 4-5:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, and 11-12:30 p.m. Sept. 22. Athletes are encouraged to attend both days. To find out more information or to register, visit MIGB.org.

The Mercer Island Girls Select Basketball program is also looking for a new coach for the fifth-grade team. Anyone interested can email John Bundy, the program coordinator, at j.bundy@comcast.net, or email Becky Shaddle, the club president, through the team’s website.
