Please fill out and submit this form for any athlete you think should win the Mercer Island Reporter Athlete of the Week award. This award will be given out once each month for a male and female athlete (Females, first week, male, third week). The award will be awarded for any varsity-level sport that is WIAA accredited. This award will be chosen from all athletes submitted that have demonstrated the following characteristics: Who had the best week’s performance, leadership, sportsmanship, attitude and was the best team player (if not an individual sport). You should base your submissions on these criteria. The time frame is the previous week. Previous week is defined as Monday – Saturday. This submission is due on Monday at ten am.
The male and female winners will be announced in each Wednesday’s edition of the Snoqualmie Valley Record with a brief bio of the winner and their picture. The winners will receive a certificate, letter and gifts from local merchants.
