French Conversation Evening, sponsored by the Mercer Island Sister City Association, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the home of Linda Williams Rorem, 9432 S.E. 52nd St. All levels of French speakers are welcome - to stay the whole time or drop in for lively conversation, mostly in French! Mercer Island Firefighters Association is conducting a warm clothes drive for the homeless and needy. Bring all warm clothes, especially coats, to Station 91, 3030 78th Ave. S.E. Clubs

  • Shallow water exercise, a drop-in exercise class to increase flexibility and range of motion during an aerobics workout, is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
