SJCC announces ‘senior hours’ for sidewalk café

Starting Aug. 4, seniors will be served exclusively from 10-11 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Starting Aug. 4, the Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) is making a new COVID-19-related accommodation for seniors.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the organization is opening up its sidewalk café (albeit with limited table service) for seniors exclusively, between 10-11 a.m. The recurring opportunity, per the SJCC website, will last through Sept. 3.

Tables will adhere to physical-distancing guidelines. Before being admitted to the café, participants will have to have their temperature taken and respond to a list of health questions.

Those eligible are encouraged to invite friends.
