A semi-truck and commercial van crashed on 1-90 near the Mercer Island Exit 9 on March 20.

An accident on eastbound I-90 involving three vehicles blocked the two left-hand lanes just before 4 p.m. this afternoon.

The incident occurred at 3:51 p.m. just after exit 9 on the eastbound lanes. The vehicles involved included a semi-truck, a commercial van and a passenger truck. The semi, located in the far left lane, had a smashed front end, while the van had been pulled off to the right side of the interstate, facing the wrong direction.

The passenger truck appeared to have been rear-ended.

Medics and various local fire departments were on the scene. Traffic is able to pass through a single lane.
