Mercer Island boys and girls track beat Sammamish

Islander boys and girls track earned wins over Sammamish Thursday, March 27 at Mercer Island High School, with the boys winning 88-47 and the girls 110-26. Mercer Island will travel to Interlake High School to take on the Saints at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 3.

Boys lacrosse tops Columbine

Mercer Island boys lacrosse opened the Northwest Invitational tournament with a 13-8 win over Columbine High School Thursday, March 27 at Islander Middle School, improving the Islanders to 6-0 this year. Brett Bottomley had 5 goals and an assist for the Islanders, while Peter Mahony had 4 goals and an 1 assist. Chase York had 1 goal, 2 assists and 4 ground balls, and Benji Rothenberg had 10 saves in goal. Mercer Island will take on Oregon’s Sunset High School at 8 p.m. Friday, March 28 at Islander Stadium.
